Law Clerk / Wills and Estates

We are looking for a Wills and Estates Law Clerk to join our team.

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada

Employment Type: Full-Time

Benefits Offered: Dental, Life, Medical

Compensation: CA$70,000 to CA$85,000 per year

Job Description

  • We are looking for a full-time Wills and Estates Law Clerk to join our firm
  • We are a small, but close-knit team located in the heart of Markham village
  • The ideal candidate will handle all aspects of drafting estate planning and estate administration documents
  • The candidate’s salary will be based on their level of experience

Candidate requirements:

  • 10 years or more prior experience as a Wills and Estates Law Clerk
  • Law Clerk Diploma from accredited College/University
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Unity, Lawyer Done Deal, Teraview and PC Law Professionalism with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently following instructions with minimal supervision

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Drafting Wills, and Powers of Attorney;
  • Preparing Applications for Certificates of Appointment, both with and without Wills;
  • Preparing survivorship Applications and spousal transfer documents through Teraview;
  • Engaging with clients throughout all processes;

Junior Associate Lawyer / Estates

We are looking for a Junior Associate Lawyer to join our team.

Location: Markham, Ontario, Canada

Job Description

  • Our family-run business is growing. We are looking for a full-time Junior Associate Lawyer to join our firm
  • We are looking for someone to join our team to practice in our Estate department.
  • The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in assisting clients with estate planning and estate administration.

Candidate requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate or L.L.B. degree from accredited University
  • Licensed with the Law Society of Ontario
  • Experience practicing as a Lawyer is preferable, but not required
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Estate-A-Base, Teraview and PC Law
  • Professionalism with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently following instructions with minimal supervision
