Graham Nichols is the senior, managing partner of Nichols Law Professional Corporation. Graham graduated from Queens University’s law program in 1981.
He was called to the Bar in 1983 and has been a lawyer in Markham since that time. During his career, Graham served as the President of the Markham Board of Trade (1988-1989), he was also the director of the Markham Stouffville Hospital from 1992 through 2001 and acted as the Board Chair in 2001.
Most recently, Graham was a director for the Centre for Dreams, a local registered charity, for nearly 8 years. He has been a director of numerous private business operations and continues to serve on the Board of Directors for several private businesses.
Graham has been a resident of Markham since 1963 and has maintained a law practice on Markham Main Street, since 1993.
Graham’s practice focuses on Estates Administration, preparation of Estate Planning, Real Estate Transactions and Corporate/Business law.
In his spare time, Graham enjoys taking motorcycle trips, traveling and playing golf.
Keith Nichols is a Partner at Nichols Law Professional Corporation. He obtained his law degree from Bond University in Queensland, Australia in 2014.
He began his career in the legal field by articling at two highly renowned boutique law firms, gaining experience in the areas of Family Law, Civil Litigation, and Employment Law. Following his call to the Bar in 2016, he commenced working with his father and now business partner, Graham Nichols.
Keith’s focus-areas of practice are: Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Real Estate transactions (purchases/sales) and Corporate Commercial Law.
The experience Keith has gained from working in a multitude of different legal areas, has provided him with the ability to understand client’s questions and issues, taking into consideration the overlapping and intersecting areas of law that apply to each specific case.
“I don’t like looking at problems in a vacuum. In most cases, a problem or question has implications across multiple areas of law. It is important to always consider any concurrent, overlapping areas of law, when determining how to provide the best advice possible to clients.”
Keith’s strength stems from his ability to empathize and listen to his clients and their needs. He was born and raised in Markham, but pursued his post-secondary education abroad, studying in both Nova Scotia and Australia.
In his spare time, Keith enjoys staying active, traveling and playing guitar and piano.
Zeinab is an associate lawyer at Nichols Law Professional Corporation. She obtained her law degree from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland in 2018, after completing her Undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto.
During her time in law school, Zeinab was an active member of the student community; She served as an editor of the Law Review, was the vice-chair of the Student-Staff Liaison Committee, and was a member of the University’s law clinic.
Zeinab articled at a boutique firm in Toronto where she gained experience in the areas of Family law and Real Estate Law. Following her call to the Bar in 2020 she continued to practice in the areas of Family and Real Estate Law.
Zeinab’s current areas of practice are: Residential and Commercial Real Estate (purchases/sales), Estate Planning, Estate Administration, and Corporate/Business Law.
Zeinab’s background in Family Law provides her with the ability to understand client’s concerns based on their circumstances, as they apply to real estate transaction and estate planning matters.
In her spare time, Zeinab enjoys spending time with her family and friends, travelling, and photography
Ryan Dzingala is an associate lawyer at Nichols Law Professional Corporation. He obtained his law degree from the University of Birmingham, in the United Kingdom in 2021. Ryan completed his articles at a boutique law firm that focused on Corporate and Commercial, Real Estate, and Wills and Estate law.
Ryan was born and raised in Markham and has been fortunate enough to see Markham grow and develop into the thriving city it is today. Ryan’s practice focuses on Estate Planning and Administration, Real Estate Law, and Corporate and Commercial Law, allowing him to provide a broad range of high-quality and cost-effective legal services to the people and businesses in his local community.
Outside of being a lawyer, Ryan enjoys bouldering, trail running and multisport, and baking.
Lynn Fowler is Nichols Law’s business services practice clerk, and first point of contact for Nichols Law business clients. Lynn works directly with Keith and Graham on business law, corporate and commercial business needs. In addition to assisting and advising business, corporate and commercial clients, Nichols Law also services the needs of solo proprietors.
From incorporating your business, business restructuring, shareholder agreements, preparing your minute book, to amalgamating companies and more, Lynn understands the needs and issues of business. Lynn graduated from the Legal Administrative Assistant program at CDI College and then graduated on the Honour Roll from Paralegal program at CDI College in 2005.
Prior to working at Nichols Law, Lynn worked for a senior partner of a well-established law firm in Markham assisting with corporate, commercial and other matters.
Toni has been working as a Real Estate Clerk for nearly 20 years. She joined Nichols Law at the beginning of 2018.
Toni works together with Keith and Zeinab, assisting clients with all stages of their real estate transactions. Toni has extensive experience in all aspects of residential real estate transactions, mortgages, refinances and private lending.
Toni works part-time, Mondays and Wednesdays of each week.
Maya has been in the field of real estate for over 25 years. Maya is experienced in a wide variety of real estate matters, including residential and commercial acquisitions, dispositions and financing of industrial, retail, multi-residential and development properties.
Maya is responsible for analyzing title searches, conducting due diligence searches and preparing comprehensive summaries, drafting closing documentation, negotiating and arranging title insurance policies and preparing electronic documentation for registration.
Prior to joining Nichols Law, Maya worked at an international firm with a focus on construction financings for institutional lenders.
In her free time, Maya enjoys spending time with her family, skiing and competing with her dog at working dog trials.
Amanda is a Paralegal/Law Clerk working in the Estate Planning Department at Nichols Law. Amanda obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology at Brock University in 2012. Following the completion of her undergraduate studies, she completed the dual Paralegal/Law Clerk program at Fleming College and obtained her Paralegal licence in 2014.
Amanda works together with Graham, Keith and Zeinab assisting in the preparation of clients’ Wills and Powers of Attorney. Prior to working at Nichols Law, Amanda worked in criminal law for both the Crown and the Defence. During her spare time, Amanda enjoys playing and coaching softball, reading, and spending time with her family.
Robin is our Intake Coordinator and receptionist.
She is more than likely the first voice you will hear when calling Nichols Law. Robin comes from a long career in civil litigation. Robin is also a retired professional dancer, instructor, and choreographer. She has done many television shows and gala celebrations. We welcome her to the firm.
Kevin Nichols is a seasoned real estate law clerk, specializing in property transactions. He graduated with honors from Seneca College in 2021. Since then, Kevin has been an integral part of the real estate portion of the firm, where he collaborates closely with his coworkers to foster a tradition of excellence in real estate services.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Kevin finds joy in the simple pleasures of life, sharing his home with two cherished cats and his beloved wife. Whether delving into legal documents or spending quality time with loved ones, Kevin approaches each day with enthusiasm and integrity, embodying the values of diligence and compassion in all aspects of his life.
Molly joined Nichols Law in 2020, and currently works as an Estate Clerk, handling all Estate Administration related matters.
Molly will generally be your first point of contact for all Estate related matters, directing and assisting clients with their inquiries and needs. Molly takes an empathetic approach to handling clients matters, to ensure our client’s needs are understood and approached with care.
Molly is currently on maternity leave, celebrating the birth of her second child. We look forward to her return.
We are happy to announce that after 35 years with Nichols Law, Mary has taken a much deserved next step into retirement. We wish her all the best.
It with great sadness that we announce the passing of our long-time friend and colleague, Diane Robb. Diane has been a vital part of Nichols Law for over 20 years. Her loss is felt deeply and beyond words. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.
Moon is a junior Paw-Associate at Nichols Law. She began her career in 2020, when she sprang onto the scene. Moon’s focus areas of practice are: begging for treats, guarding her yard and howling at the moon.
